About Me

First learned about coding when I read Mindstorms, by Seymour Papert, and was excited by the view of learning he wrote about. I joined LCSI, the company that created MicroWorlds EX and JR, in 1984, and held positions from quality assurance programming to author and editor of student and teacher materials, from marketing director to president. After 25 years with the company, I became Executive Director of the Anytime Anywhere Learning Foundation, which was focused on transforming learning through the universal access to technology. I recently retired from AALF after 10 years (AALF is now part of TiG), and I'm now retired but still interested in rethinking learning in the 21st century, coding as a learning opportunity for all, and computational thinking and our view of the world.
