Unit 0 Introduction to Algorithms 0 classes

Unit 1 Intro to Computer Science & Programming 15 Classes

  • Impact and historical perspectives
  • Graphics, Variables and basic user interaction
  • Note that basic IF statements (and boolean logic) are used in many of the in-class examples to make them more interesting/interactive but the assessments in the first unit rarely require IF statements.  They become the major focus of future units.

Unit 2 CS Theory 11 Classes

  • Designed to be integrated throughout the course
  • Includes hardware, software, binary and various AP CSP concepts

Unit 3  The Internet & Web Design with HTML and CSS 8-13 Classes

  • Includes basic networking terminology

Unit 4  Programming Part 2 13 Classes

  • Conditionals, boolean logic, intro to functions

Unit 5 - Lists, Functions and other Advanced Programming Concepts 9 Classes

  • Designed to allow students to complete the entire AP CSP course in one year
  • Includes introduction to Lists
  • Includes an introduction to functions using Parameters/Arguments

Unit 6  End of Year Project (aka the CSP Create Task) 10 Classes
