72.1 CSP Word of the Day: Scalability

• Each day, I take a few minutes to introduce a term that might crop up on the exam.
• Sometimes we discuss the definition, sometimes I have them look it up.
• In most cases, we search the Course Description and find the specific EK statements where it appears.
• This often leads the discussion to other related terms too.
• Today’s Word:  Scalability -The scalability of a system is the capacity for the system to change in size and scale to meet new demands. The Internet was designed to be scalable.
• Related terms: protocols, IP, TCP/IP, routers and packets

• At this time, your students should be ready to write some practice exam questions for this Big Idea. 
• Create and administer a Formative Performance Task (or as I would call it, a practice quiz) on AP Classroom

• If you do not have access to AP Classroom, use CodeHS for resources or skip down to lessons below that make reference to Khan Academy reviews.
